SUN Delivers The “Homeowner’s Bottom Line” In The State Capitol


The leadership of SUN’s Financial Justice committee, Richard Breland and Kanessa Keene, discuss their meeting with a representative from NY State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman’s office in the state capitol in Albany, N.Y.

SUN leaders went to Albany to meet with the NY State Attorney General and discuss the current negotiations that the national Attorneys General group is having with the big banks over their fraudulent activity in the mortgage and financial markets over the past several years. As a result of their criminal activity, many homeowners have lost their homes, many more face foreclosure and our national economy is in ruins. SUN and other groups from National People’s Action want to ensure that any settlement includes strong protections and restitution for homeowners–The Homeowner’s Bottom Line.
