At the 14th anniversary celebration of the Alliance Network, SUN was honored to receive the local group’s Charles Anderson Award for “outstanding advocacy for the rights of women and minorities.” The Alliance Network was founded to help focus attention on the “social, economic, health, youth and political issues that effect our community.” The Alliance Network has certainly succeeded in its mission of “helping to strengthen small organizations that are big in vision.”
Pictured with the award is the leadership team of SUN’s Jobs Committee, at the conclusion of a recent strategy meeting–fighting to bring good jobs to our neighborhoods. The award is most appreciated–and the work continues! (L to R): Bob Korzuch, Lanika Mabrey, Rosemary Jock, Kanessa Keene, Norm Jock, Eddie H. Brown.
